Depending on your budget, either a Presto or an All-American. Linked below is another very recent thread where digdirt and readinglady responded to that very same question. Hope that helps.

Here is a link to a great many discussions of the same question. As discussed in the other recent thread, You only have 3 brands to choose from - Presto, All American, and Mirro. The Mirro are no longer recommended because since the company was sold the quality has declined greatly. So it comes down to Presto vs. All American and how much you want to spend. The Presto 23 quart with the extra 3 piece weight set is the best dollar value and does anything you would need it to do. Dave

Dave- is this the one you recommend? http://www.amazon.com/Presto-01781-23-Quart-Pressure-Canner/dp/B0000BYCFU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1344803242&sr=8-2&keywords=pressure+cooker

Yes. Good price but be sure to comparative shop as you will find a wide range of prices available from several sources. You will also need the 3 piece weight set linked blow. Dave
