Is your corn ready? in 5a??

Folks,

I am selling my produce at a farmer's market on the weekends. Its a new market, and I haven't had a lot of produce to sell, but the other vendors at the market keep complaining that I have little produce to sell.

The most frequent question I get is; "when will you have corn?"

My largest plant is ~6' tall, has 4 or 5 ears, the largest of which seems full about 1/3 of the way.

Meanwhile, the other vendors are saying they can buy corn now, "local" corn. One has a daughter who works at a farm not more than 20km south of me, an allegedly "they have corn ready".

So, ok, this is my first year and I know my Brother's corn is an easy 2 weeks ahead of mine, but his aren't ready either.

Mine has been well irrigated, but granted, my soil has not been amended with anything other than seaweed concentrate. Is it realistic that organic corn would be available, seemingly in endless quantities, at this time of the year in my region?

Where's your organic corn at?

Cheers,
Russ
