| I have a storage area that is around this temperature. It is dark and humid. How long would beets (minus tops) store? Any suggestions on the best way to store them? |

| My grandmother used to store them in a wooden box filled with damp sand - she'd cut off all but about 2 inches of the leaves, brush off the dirt and bury them in the box. At that temperature (it's a little high), you'd probably get 2 to 3 months of storage. You'll just have to check them pretty frequently to make sure they aren't getting moldy or rotting. |
