| Do you fill & then place jars in the canner one by one, or do you place jars in the canner after they are all filled? I tend to do them one by one because I'm afraid of heat loss and jar breakage, but it takes more time and seems rather inefficient. Thanks for your help, |

| One by one. That is what most instructions call for - when they include such instructions - and waiting until all are filled allows to much change in the temps in the contents. Dave |
