what did I do wrong

I mention in another post (size of jar) that i was going to make canned peaches. I made 4 pint lids sealed but peaches are floating on top and there is empty liquid on bottom meaning no peaches are on bottom of jar. I thought i had packed enough n even kinda push down alittle. Will these still be ok? Also there bubbles n again i used a skewer to help release any, like i said this is my first time doing this.Any advice? Thanks again for ur help.

Raw pack or hot pack? Raw pack will float, don't worry about it. Did you dice, or just halve? I don't know if bubbles could be a problem - maybe a big bubble in the pit area of the peach facing down might, but since these are high-acid I really don't think that's even a problem.

Normal. Peaches just like to float. They sink over time. Agree that hot pack float less but either way they are safe.

Fresh peaches, not cooked really like to float. I had strawberries that way, I marked the jars with the title of "strawberries on top", I would say your jars are 'peaches on top', sort of mix between jam and jelly.
