| I need a peach pie filling to can. Is there no approved recipe out there for plain peach pie? Sans raisins?
My friend just gave me a bucket of peaches and wants pie filling. I suggested freezing pies, but she hasn't a deep freeze. What to do? Please help. Deborah |

| You mean besides the standard ones in the BBB and at NCHFP for canned peach pie filling? Never seen a peach pie filling with raisins. Doesn't even sound good to me. Dave |
Here is a link that might be useful: Peach pie filling

| Dave, she said the Ball book only had one recipe for peach pie filling, and that it contained peaches and apples. I loaned her the book so I don't have it to see for myself. Deborah |

| The Ball Blue Book, or the Complete Ball Book (can't remember which) lists the one with raisins and apples; I didn't like the sound of it either (I have both books). I was discouraged until I found the one that Dave listed at NCHFP, and it was just plain peaches and very tasty. No wierd ingredients. I've also made the cherry filling from there, and plan to make apple too. I think you'll like them (or at least your friend will). |

| Thanks, Misemerald and Dave. I'll look for it. Deborah |
