okra seed, can be roasted and eaten???

gone for a few days, so lots of okra tough and big , when I returned,,,,
Have been baking them like in oven(400 degrees
from youtubeal so so previously added seeds of the over matured okra. cooked with tomatoes and used over seeds to the small okra. I believe I read it on this forum back in 2011 when I canned lots of veggies,,,,
So has anyone roasted the over matured seeds and ate them that way ???????
dont wanna save all those okra seeds just to replant,,, I have way to many

I don't recall ever seeing a discussion here about it but who knows. Can't find one with the search. Sounds good in theory as other than their small size, if you can roast all sorts of other seeds why not okra? Put enough butter and sea salt on it and just about anything would taste good. :)

But there is a great deal of info on Google about it and how to do it. Even recipes for making 'coffee' from them as was done during the Civil War apparently when coffee wasn't available.
