| In going through my pantry, I came across 3 jars of my mom's home made apple butter that I got after she died. I noticed the date she had written on them was 1992. They are still tightly sealed and show no signs of mold or anything like that. I'm just wondering if they'd still be usable. I know she had a lot of canned goods that my brothers and sister took some even older then that and they said they were good when they opened them. I've got a couple of Apple Butter recipes I'd love to do for Christmas and hope I can use them. Thoughts? |

| Only way you're gonna know, is open, smell, and taste. That's longer than I'd prefer to keep canned goods though, myself. |
