Scratch on lid

I noticed a scratch on the white surface of a few new canning lids and a couple of other imperfections in the white coating on a few. I put them aside till I had the chance to ask if I should toss them or if they are safe to use. What should I do?

It is basically your choice, what you are comfortable with. Most just ignore the issue as the worst that can happen is some discoloration from acidic food contact.

For the most part they pose no problems and unless substantially damaged are considered usable. But if they concern you then either toss them or save them for use with dry food storage items.
