Can lime juice be subsituted for Lemon juice

I was canning plain tomatoes last night and ran out of lemon juice on the last few jars, not wanting to run to the store at that point I subbed lime juice. Are they equally acidic? Just wanted to make sure they were safe.

Thanks

Yes, they are both about the same acidity. Might taste a little different, but no safety issues.

Make sure to mark those jars, use them in Tex-Mex dishes ;-)
