I am evidentially getting too old and goofy to can late at night any more. While finishing up canning tomato sauce in the wee hours of the morning I mistakenly put my Presto 12 qt. (weighted gauge) canner's lid on my Presto 22qt.( dial and weighted gauge) base. Didn't discover my mistake until well into the processing time. Fortunately it fit tight, and worked perfectly...who knew! The next day while canning peaches I had a quart Kerr jar break, was SO sad to see the peaches floating in the water when I took the lid off the water bath canner......couldn't stay mad tho when I saw the shape of the break in the jar :)

Cute jar. I had a jar of pickled beets to that, but I didn't get the cuteness of your jar. I've found that my Mirro small canner's lid will work for the larger lid. Kinda nice, especially if I just grab the wrong one.

Oh, never saw one break like a heart.

Cool. If it has to break at least it told you it was sorry. :) Dave
