We picked corn about two weeks ago but with the rush of back to school starting, just plain forgot about it. It has been in the spare refrigerator since then. I just had an uh-oh moment and went to check on it... most of it is dried on the cob, still in husks. Can this stuff be salvaged somehow? I ususally cook it and pack it in freezer bags for the winter but this looks too dry for that. It's only a dozen or so ears (it wasn't a good year for corn) but I'd hate to toss it out if it can be saved. Any suggestions?

If I have old corn, I still freeze it, but when I prepare it I fry the corn. It's pretty good!!! Mary

You can make hominy with it or grind it for grits too if it is fully dried. Dave

How do you make hominy??. We have actually taken truly dried corn and ground it, that is a good idea. Mary
