| Canned tomatoes this time of year?! :) if you flip the jar do the contents move around? It should. I've used wages quite a bit but never with canned tomatoes. I've never had it get too thick. |
|
| Assuming you followed the directions on the packet it should be ok. Mrs. W and the canned tomatoes both have citric acid added. My only concern would be if the tomatoes were drained too much so as kerry said is it sloshy in the jars at all? For future reference re-canning previously canned foods isn't generally recommended. | I didn't drained the cans, this photo show jar upside down, its moves slowly. I will show in next post of jar on its side so u can see the amount of liquid i jar. Thanks Terry |

| This jar on its side, I followed the direction on package n made 6 pints, the 6th wasn't quite full so didnt process it. So if there not enough liquid in jar what should I do? Thanks Terry |

| That looks fine to me. Dave |

| Those jars look just like what we get from the Mrs. Wages Salsa. We don't like ours as spicy, so we add a bit more tomatoes. The jars are just fine. Enjoy them. I will say that the longer they are canned the stronger the spices, just so you are aware. |

| That's not too thick, looks perfect. |

| Thanks Dave, Kerryv n My familysfarm. Am so glad that I dont have to worry about it. Kerryv I used can tomotoes didn't have enough fresh ones, gophers killed my 14 plants. Another question once open how long is shelf live in refrigerator? Thanks again for all your help. Terry |

| Never had a jar of salsa last more than a few days but I suppose that 'technically' about 3 weeks or so. Mold growth would be the main concern. Dave |
|
| You will see when it turns bad... Around the inside of the rim it will get moldy and gross looking. |
