If the Hubbard squash was picked before it was fully ripe will it continue to ripen? It has a layer of green inside still. We cooked 1/2 of one last night. It wasn't bad but not great. Would the seeds be any good for roasting? I was always told (as a child) that
winter squash was not ready until after a frost. Right or wrong?
If it will ripen more, how should it be stored.
A friend gave us squash, red potatoes, lots of tomatoes. So I've been busy with the tomatoes.
