| What are the differences between this salsa, the Chile Salsa II and the Tomato and Green chili Salsa? I realize the ingedients are in different amounts, but what Im questioning is the difference in taste between the three.
Im also curious if others have tried the Nchfp Taco Sauce (pardon the title if I got it wrong). I have been canning the Ball Taco Sauce (which I like very much) but Im curious of this one as well. Other than the obvious difference in ingredients, what are the differences in taste? |

| Chili Salsa II is the same recipe as Chile Salsa (Hot Tomato-Pepper Sauce), just in Spanish. Green chilis vs. red chilis? Green is usually considered a bit hotter, while red is said to be milder, sweeter, but more pungent. Dave |

| Chili Sauce and Chili Sauce II are identical except one gives amounts by weight and the other in cups. The Green Chili one has more peppers and less tomatoes with a few spices thrown in. Frankly, I've never found an appetizing recipe on that site (but I'm picky). That's why I have a shelf full of canning books so I get new ideas for canning food that DH and I will actually eat. |

| Thanks Dave and malna, I just realized that my subject didnt include "Pepper". I have enough tomatoes and peppers, so Im going to try all three. Experimenting with different recipes is much more exciting when I know Im starting with an approved recipe. |

| I just finished 11 half-pints of this chile salsa and I love it! I guess Ive never tasted a salsa with so many peppers in it (hot ones anyway). When I have cooked with Ro-Tels, I guess I never tasted the Ro-tel by itself, just in the finished recipe. So I can't compare. But I love this hot salsa. It will suit me just fine in the winter months where there is no fresh tomatoes and peppers for a Mexican dish. As is, I've been using canned whole tomatoes and pickled jalapenos for these meals. This salsa gives me those ingredients in one jar! |

| If you like peppers, you would probably love the Charred Chili Salsa in PUT EM UP. It's loaded with chilies, which can be hot or mild depending on your tolerance. Let's see...I think the ratio is 5 pds. tomatoes to 2 pounds chilies, oh and a pound of onions, among other things. It is our absolute favorite. Deborah |
