 o
KitchenKrafts substitution for Instant ClearJel

Has anyone ever heard of or used a product called Thik'N Kwik? I ordered Instant ClearJel from Kitchen Krafts, and this substitute is what they sent me, despite my request for no substitutions in my order.

Is this stuff usable? I will, of course, not be using it for canning, just freezing. Customer service at KK claims it is the same thing, but I'd like to know if anyone has used it before risking good food... Thanks for any help!

I've used it, though it's been quite a while since I found another source for bulk ClearJel. It's exactly the same thing - a specially modified cornstarch Kitchen Krafts branded. No worries.

Thank you for your prompt answer. I wanted to make apple pie filling tomorrow, and your kind help makes that possible. Thank you once again!
