I am venturing into pickles and relishes today. Quick question--if I make too much of a brine liquid can I save it in the fridge until the next batch in a few days? Specifically, I'm trying NCFHP dilled beans, but have fewer jars. Can I just mix up a full recipe of the brine, reheating for the next batch.

Yes, you can save the brine. I often do this to facilitate small batches. Just bring back to boiling before pouring over the next batch of cukes. Deanna

Thanks Dave! I couldn't think of any reason it would be unsafe, but wanted a double check. Thank you for all the great advice on this forum! Carrie
