Sugar syrup question

I'd like to can some peaches in a brown sugar/cinnamon syrup (S&W brand makes a version called Sweet Memory that the ingredient list states is just peaches, water, brown sugar and cinnamon and is delicious!). My question is can I safely substitute brown sugar for white table sugar in canning syrup recipes?

Yes. Keep the cinnamon to a minimum to avoid bitterness. Cinnamon can easily get overwhelming on the shelf. You can add more after opening the jars if more is needed.
