| This was my first year growing ground cherries and now that I have tons I need to do something with them! Does anybody have any favourite jam or pie recipes to share?? :) |

| Can't help with a pie recipe although I'm sure some exist but I assume you know you can use them in any tomatillo (or even tomato) recipes? Down south many use them as a sub for Gooseberries too so any Gooseberry Jam recipe would work. For jam just use the Spiced Tomato Jam recipe or the Pineapple jam recipe at NCHFP and use 1/2 pineapple and 1/2 GC. The flavors blend really well (if you like pineapple). If you like chocolate check out the link below for Chocolate Dipped Ground Cherries. Think I'll give it a try. Dave PS: and if you are over run with them they freeze whole very well. |

| I grew them 2 years ago. I would try to pick them daily and add them to our daily salad. When I got overrun, I ended up making a puree similar to applesauce and canned that. I then use it in baking similar to using applesauce. DD loves ground cherry oatmeal muffins. |

| I have a recipe for pie and jam. Both came out just wonderfully. My husband said its his favorite pie now. you. I just made the pie two days ago. 3cups ground cherries |
