| Some of the beans have a light rust color on them. Not going to use them of course. Does this mean goodbye for the year?? |

| Hi, In short....Absolutely not...green beans will continue to produce until the first frost. I suspect there are two causes. Sun burn and nutrients. Lack of nutrients can cause them to ripen sooner before full development. The heat of summer can also cause the same problem. I live in Texas and during the dog days of summer I get almost zero production for green beans. The pants also start to die off from the heat. Those that survive will start producing now that it has started to cool off. good luck |
