| This has happend a few times now. At first I thought I had got the jars too close to a plastic bag. But know I know it is the rings.
I use Bernardin Jars and rings. When the jars come out of the BWB, I have noticed that there is a very thin film of pealing plactic on just the rims, not the jars or disks. Has anyone else noticed this. I don't think it would cause any harm to the processed product, but not 100% sure. |

| No, I've never seen this. Is it possible that some plastic from the packaging was still attached to the rings when they went into the canner? I would be checking very closely before they are used and if there's a strange substance, contact Bernardin! Deanna |
