I posted a few weeks ago about my white potatoes being off flavor. I was told that canned French fries were really good. I tried them a few days ago and they were declared the best thing to have around. I fixed them with hamburgers the first time. then the girls made some to snack on the other night. Tonight after a night of running errands we decided on sandwiches "only if we can have French fries". To whomever made the suggestion "Thank you" To anyone who thinks that "good food fast" is the way to go add French fries to the canning shelf. It takes half the time and little of the mess to have French fries. I no longer have to worry about that bag of potatoes sitting around going to waste. Now I have to work in a few more bags and a few more canning sessions. Thank you Lynn

They are great aren't they! I think it was Linda Lou that first posted the instructions for canning them. I know many of us have now tried them and they always get good reviews. Dave

I must have missed the original thread so I just looked it up. I never even thought of canning french fries! I admit to buying the bags of frozen - and they take up valuable freezer space. I don't grow potatoes, but they often go on sale very cheap. I can't wait to try this.
