Hello, Not garden specific, but found the forum looking at some other postings on people seeking feedback of things they found in their freezer. In my case, found some prepackaged ready to drink OJ in the carton. It has been frozen since I got it in a dedicated freezer in my garage. From my reading, some things can go bad, like the bacon that was stored with it where the fat was a little rancid. I ate some, as it smelled ok, but the aftertaste was definitely rancid. Anyway, on the OJ, it was not really lost, just sat in the door while I opened and closed it to get other things over the years, kept meaning to use it. It is not worth getting sick, but neither is throwing it out for no reason. Thanks, David

So how old is the oj? Did you buy the freezer last month? Or 6 years ago?
|
Oh my, cant believe I typed up all that and left out that part. I think it has been in the freezer for about 2 1/2 years. Frozen the whole time.

You could thaw it out and give it the sniff test. Those cardboard cartons do tend to pick up odors. Then if it smells fine, it's probably ok to drink.
