I wouldn't bother. Just stir it up at time of use. It looks a bit less pretty on the shelf but otherwise it makes no difference at all and to my mind isn't worth the additional effort and cost.

Or.....make another batch if it is for gifts and keep the first one for yourself. If I were giving it away, I'd want it to be pretty! :)
