RE: drying grapes

White (green) grapes turn into what are called white or yellow raisins. They are a gold-brown. Red and purple grapes turn into regular raisins and are the dark brown of regular raisins.

We dry lots of white grapes every year since we love white raisins for fruit cakes but we don't grow any red or purple ones.

You should dip grapes in boiling water first to check the skins. Then, into cold water. Then, place on trays and dry.
