| I hope you all will check out Suzanne's blog today and make the decision to help her by voting in this contest that she has been attempting to win...We (all of her friends, including us) helped her reach this point so please, go vote and lets push her into the yellow ribbon. Vote every day until Dec 7...I made it my home page so I wouldn't forget. Don't forget to watch her video on the same page....and ask your friends to vote too |

| Thanks everyone. I didn't even think if this was appropriate for the forum. She is into gardening, harvesting and preserving and has a beautiful site dedicated to living her life to the fullest and some how it just seemed to fit here. The voting only counts for 20 percent and the judges have 80% of the say, so she's still in the running ...Keep voting for our fellow Harvester... |

| I learned of her blog here on Harvest. I immediately liked it and have passed along the link to friends. I've found I can vote once in Explorer and once in Firefox. |

| I agree Ruthie. Having read the descriptions of the other top people, I can honestly say I have more in common with Suzanne, and would rather read her blog than any of the others. She is into what I am into, so I would love to see her win. I also love how all the posters here have rallied behind her. I actually sent out an email asking people to vote for her! I would like to think that if any of us are in some type of contest, we can count on one another to support each other. |

| I think she's a better *writer* than the others --- than most of the "lifestyle" bloggers I've seen, in fact. The posts may read as breezy, "off the top of my head"-style notes but they're very well crafted, show a high level of professionalism, and are integrated beautifully with the high-quality photos. To be honest, when I saw ruthie's first post about this blog, I had no interest in going to see it --- another country-life blog, ho-hum, not even really related to the forum topic (though I certainly don't ever object to somewhat off-topic threads --- some ARE of interest to me, and if they're not, I can always just skip them, no big deal). But at some point I was curious --- I think when ruthie linked to her "thank-you" post --- and I was really impressed with the content, set-up, and professionalism of her website. I admit to having become a convert --- I now go there every day, and vote every day. I was glad to see that the judges have the final decision in this round, because I think that any impartial panel will likely choose Suzanne even if she's not in first place in the voting. Thanks for the link, ruthie---I'm enjoying the site a lot. Suzanne's even inspired me to start cooking with dried beans, which I'd always considered too much hassle. Well, Suzanne and our current bank account have convinced me ....

I have been enjoying Suzanne's writing too and of course, voting every day. I really liked Mom2wildboys' tip about using two browsers, so now I vote with Firefox and Safari-on two computers!

| I have the misfortune to sleep walk and sleep eat. This morning my husband informed me that he caught me sleep eating in the kitchen last night and as he tried to get me back to bed I told him I had to vote first and was quite insistent about it. Of course he didn't know anything about Suzanne and the contest so he was very puzzled but you just can't argue with someone who's in that state. This morning at least I was able to tell him all about it and he's promised to try and get his co-workers to vote today. I guess Suzanne has really been on my mind. I was reading her website last night about the ornery angel with great interest. I have one almost next door to me and I'm thinking I might try her approach!!!!! |

| Vote #32,950 today. "She was a couple thousand ahead yesterday and TWENTY THOUSAND ahead today, now how could that happen? It is possible to vote more than once a day. Once you know how, the process of voting can be automated fairly easily and can crank up the vote count quickly. Perhaps disqualifications are in order? Also, doesn't vote count represent only 20%? The judges may see these inflated counts for what they are. Don't give up yet! |

| Don't think any votes were in vain! The judges' panel counts more than the votes in this round. The point of the votes from Suzannes' point of view was to show she had a loyal, consistent group of readers. It looks to me like she's shown that, and since she writes better than the others, if she doesn't get picked, it'll be because of whatever *other* criteria the judges are using (it may be that they are really trying for a very young demographic, or that a lot of their potential customers are in California [where the other two leading contenders live, IIRC], etc.) Meanwhile, I'm grateful to ruthie for introducing me to a blog I enjoy. Z |
