Why not just thaw it out to see if you want to use it as if it has been frozen in the original wrapper they sell them it just might not have freezer burn. If it does then if you have animals they just might love to eat the meat.

Use one of those syringe meat injectors to pump it full of butter and garlic and wrap the whole thing in bacon. If it has freezer burn, you won't notice.

It doesn't appear to have any freezer burn and the original wrapper doesn't seem damaged at all. I haven't thawed it out yet. I guess I'll cook it with a backup plan of BLT's, just in case. If it doesn't taste good I can give it to my cat he loves people food.

I plan to brine it and cook it in my infrared cooker. Every turkey that I have cooked that way turns out great!

I have one that is 6 months old that I am going to use and if it has been frozen all that time then my guess is that it is probably fine........thaw it and smell it and if it looks and smells good...go for it.
