| First year with sunflowers for edible seeds. I harvested the heads of my Mammoth sunflowers a couple months ago & laid them on a table in my basement to finish drying out, and then forgot about them.... Will they still be good now? What do I do next? How should they be stored & how long will they keep? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me! |

| I assume you planned to roast them for storage and use as most do? See the link below for all the how-to-do. As for if they are still good? Only way to know is to crack some open and try them. After this long, if no mold has formed on them, if they don't have a rancid oil taste or odor, and if the kernels haven't already germinated, then they should be safe to eat. Dave |
