It's a Sears 62051700 which I think is the same as Presto 1745. I just ordered 3-piece regulator and ring set. Other than being filthy, it looks to be in very good shape. Is there anything else you would check or replace before using? Also, which plug do you use in your canner? From the picture below, #1 or #2? Does it matter? Currently the canner has #2 in it. My canner (23 qt) used to have #1 in it but last time I replaced the seal, it only came with #2. I can't tell any difference.

If you are sure that it is the equivalent model and that the 3 piece weight set will work on it (without replacing the vent pipe too) then be sure she under stands to ignore the gauge or arrange to have it tested and calibrated. You might also want to replace the lid gasket and the weight gasket. The over-pressure plug works with either one although 2 is far more common. Dave

It doesn't have a gauge and the 3-pc one that came with it is missing a piece. Good idea to replace the other gaskets too. It looks like it hasn't been used in a few years. Oh, and I know it's the right seal ring because mine fits it.
