Anyone ever injected a turkey with bacon grease? :)

Bacon is good tasting, not healthy, I know. I am cooking a turkey for our shops potluck dinner in my infrared cooker next week.

I have saw TV shows on wrapping with bacon or fat back and they all say its good.

I'm wondering how injecting the grease would turn out!

Anyone tried it? Would it be safe?

Of course it would be "safe" as long as you followed properly food handling and cooking techniques.

How would it turn out? Probably fine. I've injected melted butter straight and mixed with fruit juices and herbs and spices. Same basic concept.

Partially melted, about room temp.
