She completed her education in Mumbai. Before coming to India, she worked as an IVF clinical research fellow with Hammersmith Hospital, UK. She also worked as obstetrician and gynaecologist at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists gave her the membership in May, 2005. On coming back to India, she worked as an IVF specialist with leading infertility centre in Delhi.

Today millions of couples are parents of their biological child, thanks to her dedication to excellence and medical expertise. Her work speaks volumes. She is the force which attracts local and international attention to SCI Healthcare, making it the leading infertility treatment centre in India. Dr. Shivani Sachdev Gour does the entire work herself and does not outsource the vital work to doctors who are less experienced. She does the donor or clients scans, collects the egg and transplants the embryo herself. Her dedication to the work is incomparable.
