I bought some "Mexican Heather" plants yesterday at Home Depot because I needed to replace some Verbenas that got off to a bad start (my fault) and the verbenas that I wanted were gone for the season from the nursery I usually buy from. These plants are Vigoro brand with tiny purple flowers. I looked online and started seeing forums, articles etc that said these are invasive, but a couple of other places that said they weren't.

These are for a mixed border. Anyone know if these are truly invasive plants in Southern California? I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and dig them up and take them back if they will take over the bed.
