Hi-

I put in about 20 erica darleyensis this spring (different cultivars). I pinched the tips and pruned off any blooms at planting. But they don't seem to be doing very well and one has died. This is my first experience with them. Are they particularly slow growers? I also wonder if my soil is not acidic enough. Any suggestions?

They do grow slowly. They do enjoy acidic soil, try mulching with compost and peat moss mixed. They need to be kept moist, especially their first summer.
