| These were growing in my brother in laws bit of 'dunes' (wild area near the beach)on Galveston island in Texas.
They are a prairie type of cone flower with a longish cone--not as long as the longest I"ve seen. I do not have a variety name but they must be tough as they live near the gulf and quite a few were blooming away at Christmas. they'd be pretty in a naturalized area, they were growing with a wild gazania type thing and grasses and looked very nice. I've got about 100 or so seeds and would love to trade for heirloom seeds-- veggies, flowers, cuttings or what have yous. let me know! Mary |
