wanted: wanted: antique christmas cactus

I lost my great Grandma's 70 year old catus this year when I was sent east for two weeks to work on a store and the furnace and pipes froze. I did shut the water off at the well thanks to past issues. Can't say no in these times. I went to a garden center looking for help in finding one when I could not find one on line and they did everything they could to tell me not to look for the old ones. Does anyone have a link to get one or want to sell one to me?

pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference between "antique" and modern christmas cacti?

I've had the same one for about 8 years, it was split from my mom's...but I dunno where she got it from. Hers is ginormous, though...

Did you ever find someone with the X-Mas cactus? MY 150 year old one died on me two years ago...and on EBay, they want like $15 for a tiny 2 segment cutting! I'll be dead long before it ever blooms.

Did you find anyone to sell or give you some nice sized cuttings. Or did you just give up? I about lost my mind when mine died, it was over 150 years old. From my great-great grandmother...and I had it for 20 years, then it started to rot stem by stem over a period of years, and then it was gone:( No one on here EVER came through with any help or offers. I found your post, and figured i would ask, i am still looking. Thanks for any reply. Stan
