| if i buy any heirloom seeds does that mean i can save the seeds off the plants i grow n plant again next yr ?also ive seen several say open pollinated?? thx |

| Yes you can save seeds. Heirloom is a much abused word with many definitions. However it is generally agreed that all "heirlooms" are open pollinated. Some folks use heirloom for antique cultivars, others apply it to cultivars that appeared yesterday. Open pollinated seed can be saved and purity held under proper conditions. The other side of the coin are hybrids, which do not come true from saved seed. Gmo's are rare in the vegetable world but fit into a new category. |

| "GMO" stands for genetically modified (artificially modified that is). I hope we don't have to deal with them anytime soon. George Tahlequah, OK |

| Syngenta has GMO sweet corn on the market. Use is highly restricted however. Don't know of any others at the present time. |
