Looking for local heirloom vegetable varieties

Posted by kevinblue IL z5 (My Page) on

I am interested in heirloom vegetables from my local area, southeast Illinois, along the Wabash river area. If anybody has heirlooms from this area to trade or share, or can tell me what varieties were being grown here in the 1800s, I would much appreciate it. I am interested in any and every type of vegetable. I am particularly interested in old varieties of tomatoes, peppers, beans, okra, squash, and cucumbers. Thanks! Kevin

Kevin e-mail me. I know of a few varieties from Southern Illinois.
