    This might be of interest:
    Homegrown Wheat

I've grown wheat, oats, sorghum, safflower, etc. for interest.

About 15 years ago, I grew a few square feet of kamut wheat, painstakingly removed the grain by hand ( yield was a little more than a cup ), put it all into a food processor and made lasagna noodles with it! They were excellent.

I thought again about doing this a few years ago, and looked into mills/grinders, but then got worried about ergot and other problems and decided that maybe the risk is not worth the gain and I'd leave it to people who know more about it than I do!
