Like to buy plants

I'd like to buy some heirloom plants this spring. I'll drive to pick up in N Illinois or S Wisconsin.

Thanks very much for the consideration.

Chris, you might want to look into some catalogs or online mail order places, a lot of heirloom plants are either seed based like many heirloom vegetables, melons, etc. There are places you can find that sell heirloom type plants/bulbs, etc if you look on Garden Watchdog...Old House Gardens is one of the best places to get heirloom bulbs, but there a lot of GREAT even smaller companies that have stuff that have historic gladiolas. There are lots of books out there that have lists of historic heirloom plants, I'd look into purchasing "Restoring American Gardens: An Encyclopedia of Heirloom Ornamental Plants, 1640-1940" by Denise Wiles Adams, she provides a good encyclopedia of old cultivars.

Could you be a bit more specific for what you're looking for?
