| Dr Bradshaw at Clemson University has a two acre Heirloom vegetable display garden in Clemson at the SC Botanicle Gardens. He grows a white corn he calls Cheyenne pencil corn. It grows 10ft high and has small finger size cobs that are 8-10 in long (hence the name pencil corn). It can be eaten as roasting ears in the milk stage but is primarily a flour/grits corn. I've attached a link to the South Carolina Foundation Seed bank which sells the corn to support the Heirloom Garden display at the Botanicle gardens. Hope this helps Rodger |
