Chaco Canyon runner beans

| I bought some Chaco Canyon runner beans from Baker Creek in 2007 and I plan to grow them this year. I would like to find some information about their source, history, etc? The history of Chaco Canyon and the Anasazi people is fascinating and the climate in the canyon can be extreme. Temperature swings of 60 degrees in one day is not uncommon and temps can range from -38 F to 102 F (according to Wikipedia). Are these beans really from Chaco Canyon? Did the ancient people that lived there 1000 years ago really grow them there? Does anyone know anything about them? |
