help ID flowering bulb, please?

I came over to this forum for help naming a small bulb that is blooming now in very old yards in east Texas...the blooms look like really small fuchsia gladiolas, arranged like ladder steps on a grassy stem. The plants are about two and a half feet tall, sort of dark green grassy looking, with the glad type blooms at the top. No fragrance. The blooms are about the same size as alstroemeria. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
Laura

Hi,
Maybe they are hardy gladiolus? They have smaller flowers than the regular kind.
