Heirloom Green Bean Seeds - Longmeyer

| I am trying to find a source of heirloom green bean seeds for Longmeyer beans. My spelling could be wrong . . . maybe Longmeyer/Longmyer/Longmeier.
I was served these at Thanksgiving, then again recently by a friend who had seeds left from her mother, who passed away several years ago (she was 87). My friend didn't think it was possible to find another source, but I'm trying. The beans were delicious. I live in TN, and am not sure whether this bean was only from this geographic region.

| Does your friend still have some seeds? or did they all get eaten? If she has even a few, plant them this year. If she doesn't have many left you may not get enough this year to eat any, but if you save them again for next year you should get a large enough to crop to be able to eat & save more for planting. Beans rarely cross pollinate, so if you can get some from her, you should be able to plant them. |
