Are these Foxgloves?

| This is my 2nd Spring in my new house. I don't remember these plants being here last year. I almost pulled them out thinking they were weeds when I saw a pic of them in a catalog I have. The catalog said they are heirloom plants that's why I'm posting here. It also said they are poisonous? To who? I have a 2 year old, could they be a danger to him?

| yes, and they will readily reseed. they are annuals for me in SC with the haet but I would imagine they are short lived perenials for you. |
