I Want some old time-y petunias

Posted by poodlepup NorCal Bay Area (My Page) on

I am making my front yard like an old fashioned turn-of-the-century escape.

I always thought that petunias were old fashioned.

Does anyone recommend a nursery or online ordering company where I could get some cool old fashioned, even heirloom petunia starts, (prefer starts, but will consider seeds)

I live in the Bay Area CA

Thanks!
Kate

Check out Select Seeds selection. They have both seeds and plants. While you're there, be sure to look at the rest of the catalog. Very yummy!

I second Select Seeds. It's a wonderful source of old time flower seeds and excellent information. Great photos too.

I purchased my seeds from Seed Savers Exchange and started them indoors this winter. They are now thriving little plants (they won't be little for much longer) absolutely covered with gloriously fragrant blooms. I am so happy I tried them this year!

Check out Annie's Annuals in Richmond, CA. My friend in the Bay Area loves her plants. The petunia you want is called petunia integrefolia (sp?)
