All my melons are dying.

Last year I started 27 different varieties of muskmelons and watermelons indoors, and maybe one of them died. They all transplanted well to the outdoors. This year almost all of my starts died, and it doesn't seem like I did anything different. They germinate and live for a few weeks then die. Maybe I'm over watering, but I don't think so. I've never had this problem before. My tomatoes and peppers did great. Oh well, I'll just have to try my luck this year with some direct seeding with early and mid season varieties. Thanks for listening.

Just to clarify....the seedlings died indoors...I never got them into the garden...go figure.
