 o
Crown Imperials in zone 9?

Is it possable to grow crown imperials in zone 9? Summers here are in the upper 90's and nights in the upper 70's, plenty of direct sun and suffocating humitity usually. Some years we have a drought in summer and others it rains every week. Winters are mild usually 40s in the day and mean lowest is 15-20 for maybe 3 hours before the sun raises it above freezing after dawn. Also, do they need a little winter chill to bloom? I know they need to be fairly dry and are picky about soil, but what would be the best medium?
