| A friend, who recently moved to the Smoky Mtns., picked up some beans at a farmer's market and wants help identifying them.
All I know, so far, is that they are green podded, but the _pods_ have pink speckles on them. She bought them pretty much filled out. Beans are large, almost like limas, but round rather than flat. I'm thinking maybe they're a butterbean rather than a common bean, but hope somebody on the list is familiar with them. |

| I am not very good at this, but I was wondering if they are Cranberry Beans. Up in the mountains where I am from, they are called October Beans. Are these beans in season now? |
