Heirloom seed exchange

Posted by organic_flutterby (My Page) on

I am new to this forum and am wondering if you guys have some kind of seed exchange going on. Also, I just want to say that while I don't currently have any heirloom variety plants growing, I am very interested in doing so. I really like the idea of preserving (or is it conserving) old varieties that our ancestors had. One question I have is this: what other reasons does one want to use heirlooms? Do they taste better? TIA
