heirloom tomatoes

i purchased some heirloom tomato plants last year from a local nursery.i left some of the old fruit in the garden over winter. this spring tomato plants popped up all over the garden,hundreds.anyway i have a plant that produces two types of tomatoes,cherry and the other looks like fingers very strange.just thought i would share this with you and hear your thoughts

    Are you certain that what look like cherrys are not just fingers shortened by blossom end rot (very common)? One plant can produce two different types of fruit if there were a somatic mutation in one of the growing branches upstream of the difference (extremely rare), but usually when people see this it is from having two different seeds growing next to each other.

    Did you grow both cherry and a finger shaped paste variety last year?
